The first MC-12 Liberty aircraft in-theater takes off from Joint Base Balad on June 10 for its first combat sortie in Iraq. A new Air Force medium-altitude manned special-mission turboprop aircraft designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, the MC-12 aircraft will operate from JBB in support of coalition and joint ground forces.
