Col. Christopher Bence, 376th Air Expeditionary Wing commander, gives Col. Murray Clark a hug after his career "fini flight" at Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan, June 6. The KC-135 Stratotanker pilot logged 4,533 hours during his nearly 23 years of Air Force service. In his one-year tenure at Manas, he flew 46 combat sorties in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Col. Clark is the 376th Expeditionary Operations Group commander. Col. Bence will soon depart Manas and will use those years of flying experience at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., where he will be the deputy J3 director for operations for U.S. Transportation Command.
