The Senegalese armed forces hosted the third trilateral working group with Macedonia and the Vermont National Guard in Dakar, Senegal. The session ran from Feb. 2-9 with a final briefing presented to James Zumwalt, U.S. ambassador to the Republic of Senegal and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Maj. Gen. Steven Cray, adjutant general of the Vermont National Guard, and Lt. Gen. Mamadou Sow, general chief of staff of the Senegalese armed forces. The goal of the working group was to find mutually beneficial opportunities between the countries. Senegal and Macedonia are both state partners with Vermont in the State Partnership Program.
