U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Steven Cray, Vermont National Guard adjutant general, operates an excavator after the completion of the groundbreaking ceremony of a land mine detection training range in Bargny, Senegal, Feb. 11, 2015. Cray joined U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Senegal James Zumwalt and Lt. Gen. Mamadou Sow, general chief of staff of the Senegalese armed forces. The 131st Engineer Company, Vermont National Guard, is working with Senegalese engineers to complete construction of the range.
