150311-N-NT265-291 EAST CHINA SEA (March 11, 2015) – Cmdr. Douglas Patterson, commanding officer of the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) oversees a replenishment at sea with the Military Sealift Command Fleet Replenishment Oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO 197). Ashland is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently conducting an Amphibious Integration Training (AIT) exercise.
