Col. Ted Martin, former commander of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, passes the Brigade Standard to Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond, 4th Inf. Div. Commander, June 18, during a change of command ceremony at Cameron Field. Martin, who hails from Jacksonville, Fla., commanded the 1st "Raider" BCT for 24 months, including a 12-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Hammond, a native of Hattiesburg, Miss., then passed the Standard to the new commander, Col. Jeffrey Martindale. The 1st BCT is scheduled to relocate to Fort Carson, Colo., later this summer.
