Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond, commander of the 4th Infantry Division, passes the Brigade Standard to the incoming commander of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Inf. Div., Col. Jeffrey Martindale, June 18, during a change of command ceremony at Cameron Field. Martindale, who hails from Sonoma, Calif., recently completed the Naval War College in Newport, R.I. before assuming command from the outgoing commander, Col. Ted Martin. Hammond hails from Hattiesburg, Miss., and Martin is a native of Jacksonville, Fla.
