Army Staff Sgt. Mike Landaur completes a safety check of a CH-47F Chinook helicopter March 14, 2015. Staff Sgt. Landaur is a CH-47F crew chief from Company B, 3rd Battalion, 126th Aviation, based at the Army Aviation Support Facility at Rochester International Airport. Thirty Airmen from the 274th Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS), based at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, and the Army aircrew trained together for the first time. The training included Joint Terminal Attack Controller (or JTAC) Airmen from the 274th ASOS conducting CH-47 helicopter familiarization training, safety briefings and embark and debark training before they flew to Fort Drum where they trained on CH-47 landing procedures and sling loading.
