Pfc. Jimmy Keep, a World War II Marine, signs the book “Flags of our Fathers,” March 17, 2015, after arriving at the Honolulu International Airport and meeting Marines and a sailor with Marine Corps Forces, Pacific. Keep is pictured in the book assisting a wounded lieutenant, and when asked about him, he said he “never saw that Marine again after he left the island.” Keep fought on Guam, Saipan and Iwo Jima, and is on his way to revisit Iwo Jima for the first time in 70 years.
