150318-N-YB753-086 KEY WEST, Fla. (March 18, 2015) Aviation ordnancemen run clear after attaching a target tow-banner to an F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the Blue Blasters of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 34 at Naval Air Station Key West’s Boca Chica Field. Tow banners are used as an effective low-cost device for air-to-air and surface-to-air gunnery training and are trailed approximately 1,800 feet behind the tow aircraft.
