    Sgt. Christopher Phinney, who served as a tank commander with Company B, 1st Tank Battalion, stands at parade rest after being awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal on June 18 at Lance Cpl. Torrey L. Gray Field. Phinney saved his gunner, Lance Cpl. Jacob Tabora, from a burning M1A1 main battle tank duringa training exercise at Range 500 on June 19.
