    Sgt. Christopher Phinney, who served as a tank commander with Company B, 1st Tank Battalion, salutes Lt. Col. Thomas Gordon, the commanding officer of 1st Tanks and Sgt. Maj. Conrad Potts, the battalion's sergeant major, during an awards ceremony at Lance Cpl. Torrey L. Gray Field June 18, recognizing Phinney for his bravery in risking his life while saving his gunner from a burning tank.
