150311-N-OV358-035 FIFTH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (March 11, 2015) - Exceles contractor Art Kuykendall guides Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Cheyenne Hacker, assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Mobile Unit One through the steps to send a recently deployed Mark 18 mod 2 unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) onto its preloaded mission for the day. EOD Mobile Unit One and Exceles contractors are currently supporting Commander, Task Group 56.1 (CTG 56.1) in the 5th Fleet Area of Responsibility. CTG 56.1 conducts mine countermeasures, explosive ordnance disposal, salvage diving, and force protection operations throughout the 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
