Robert Kleinman greets Joan (Shields) Bennett in front of the battalion’s headquarters building on Camp Marvin G. Shields in Okinawa. Bennett is the widow of Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Marvin Shields, who is the only Seabee to have been awarded the Medal of Honor and the camp was named in his honor.
