150327-N-EI510-031 WATERS TO THE EAST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (March. 27, 2015) A Republic of Korea navy UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter approaches the flight deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20). U.S. Sailors and Marines from the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are participating in the Korean Marine Exchange Program (KMEP) in the Republic of Korea (ROK) with the ROK Marine Corp and Navy. The Bonhomme Richard ARG is comprised of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), the Whidbey-island class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) and the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). Green Bay is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is currently underway in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility.
