Spc. Jason Schmall, of Shell Rock, Iowa, carries a case of hot food brought in from a nearby forward operating base to be set out for fellow Soldiers of Company B, 252nd Combined Arms Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, at Joint Security Station Saydiyah in Baghdad, June 28. It is one example of how Soldiers at the small JSS must rely on each other and be self sufficient. They must do everything for themselves, or bring it in themselves. The company is headquartered in Smithfield, N.C., and the unit has been serving from the small JSS in Iraq since May.
