Sgt. Floyd Bollinger, of Stanley, N.C., watches activity outside the perimeter walls from a tower at Joint Security Station Saydiyah, in Baghdad, June 30. Bollinger is an infantryman of Company B, 252nd Combined Arms Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team in Smithfield, N.C. The company has been serving in Iraq since May and Soldiers share the responsibility of maintaining the JSS along with their regular mission expectations. Soldiers rotate shifts, with platoons going on mission for four days, then rotating the upkeep and security of the JSS for two days at the time.
