150404-N-NT265-141 OKINAWA, Japan (April 4, 2015) – Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class William Harmon, from Nashville, Tenn., assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48), directs amphibious assault vehicle, assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), as they depart the well deck. Ashland is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st MEU, is currently conducting operations in the 7th Fleet Area of Operations.
