150406-N-NT265-097 OKINAWA, Japan (April 6, 2015) – A landing craft air cushion, assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, departs the well deck of the forward-deployed amphibious transport dockship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) as seen from the forward-deployed Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Ashland is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is currently conducting operations in the 7th Fleet Area of Operations.
