A Special Weapons and Tactics team member puts rounds through a target as a judge looks on at the SWAT Tactical Competition competition in Rawah, Iraq, June 29. SWAT units from Hadithah, Al Qaim, Rawah and Anah all competed in the day events. Each eight-man team rotated through events that put their physical strength, endurance and training to the test. The day events were not just about competition, however. Each SWAT was given the opportunity to meet and observe what the other teams capabilities are, as well. This kind of face to face interaction helps sustain an environment of cooperation in Al Anbar.
