Sergeant Jason R. Raths, a squad leader with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, and a Moreno Valley, Calif., native, is the library president of the battalion’s non-commissioned officer’s professional military library, dedicated to them aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 15, 2015. “It’s going to be a really good tool for us, because I feel like a really good, strong NCO Corps can make a battalion successful,” Raths said. “This gives a good opportunity for NCOs to be able to share information [and] knowledge because at the end of the day, we are the backbone of the Marine Corps.” (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
