Paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division and the British 16 Air Assault Brigade conduct an assault on an enemy stronghold as the culminating event for Combined Joint Operational Access Exercise 15-01 on Fort Bragg, N.C., April 18, 2015. More than 3,500 American and British paratroopers participated in C-JOAX 15-01, a major milestone in the 82nd Airborne Division's interoperability program. The goal of the interoperability program is to ultimately create the capability to seamlessly integrate a U.K. brigade into the Division, allowing the two units to operate quickly and effectively in the event they were to deploy as a part of a coalition crisis response force.
