NEW ORLEANS (April 25, 2015) Cmdr. Matt Plaschka, Commanding Officer of Royal Canadian Navy Iroquois-class destroyer HMCS Athabaskan (DDG 282) gives a speech to guests during a reception aboard HMCS Athabaskan. Amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) Sailors and Marines assigned to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit are currently underway to participate in Navy Week New Orleans 2015, a weeklong celebration and collaboration with the community of New Orleans with ships representing the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, as well as the Royal Navy and Royal Canadian Navy.
