    II Marine Expeditionary Force

Staff Sgt. Matthew S. Bateman, a reconnaissance Marine with 2nd Marine Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, gathers up his parachute, while wading in water, after jumping out of a CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopter into Onslow Bay off the coast of Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 21. A total of 30 Marines practiced low-level static-line jumps or military free-fall jumps into the ocean to gain the knowledge they need to utilize the versatility of a helicopter insertion along a hostile shore.
