An AH-64D “Apache” helicopter from the 1-149th Attack-Reconnaissance Battalion, 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, fires 2.75-inch Flechette rockets during aerial gunnery training at Fort Hood April 21, 2015. The battalion, commanded by Maj. Scott Nicholas, is based in Houston and is part of the 36th Infantry Division. While most of the Soldiers are from the Texas Army National Guard, the 1-149th includes a company from the Mississippi Army National Guard.
