150501-N-VC236-046 ARABIAN GULF (May 1, 2015) - Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Jessie Smith and Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Philip Sierra perform maintenance on the port side helicopter rast aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99). Farragut is deployed as part of Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
