Members from the 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan., including Brigade Commander, Col. Matthew R. Lewis, arrived from Fort Riley in six UH-60 Black Hawks May 2 to support Exercise Vibrant Response 15, a 616-member Defense Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Response Force command post exercise, at Camp Atterbury, Ind. The exercise tests the capabilities of the federal response to meet the expectations of the nation. It provides realistic training to prepare CBRN response units to integrate with civilian partners and respond to natural or manmade catastrophic CBRN events.
