High temperatures don't keep Cpl. Scott Shoptaw from pushing himself as he digs a post hole March 29, 2006, as he and the other Marines of Engineer Company work together to build a three-bay maintenance structure here. Shoptaw, a 20-year-old native of Cabot, Ark., and his fellow engineers of Combat Logistics Battalion 7, 1st Marine Logistics Group, are building the structure for the soldiers of the Iraqi's 8th Motor Transportation Regiment. The 8th MTR is training with a military transition team here to improve its logistics capabilities to become a viable military unit as its country seeks freedom.
