A Sherpa 1200 series parachute system sits amongst other parachute systems awaiting the night's airdrop at Al Asad, Iraq, April 13. The Sherpa parachute has the ability to guide itself by using the Global Positioning System. During an airdrop, this system can land within 100 yards of the targeted point of impact from being dropped up to 25,000 feet in the air and 15 miles away.
