The ceremony was to remember all those who died on April 25, 1915 in Gallipoli and all who have served and died in all the wars. The first Commemorative Dawn Service was held on ANZAC Day in 1923 by Reverend White. The ceremony has become a solemn Australian and New Zealand tradition.
