The iRobot 510 PackBot grabs a simulated explosive during a training exercise while being operated by a middle school student as part of the 570th Sapper Company, 864th Engineer Battalion, 555th Engineer brigade’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, or STEM, partnership program Pioneer Middle school May 29, 2015, DuPont, Wash. The Soldiers showed the students the robots they use for reconnaissance and bomb dispersal to show them how the principles they learn in their robotics class are realized in a functioning robot.
