150610-N-WC566-149 PEARL HARBOR (June 10, 2015) The family members of Pearl Harbor survivor retired U.S. Navy Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Michael Elkovics lower his ashes into the water during ash-scattering ceremony at the USS Utah Memorial on Ford Island, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Elkovics was stationed aboard the cruiser USS St. Louis (CL-49) during the 1941 Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor.
