150610-N-VJ282-021 NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (June 10, 2015) – Sailors assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11 re-enact the 1965 Battle of Dong Xoai to honor Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Marvin Shields. Shields, the first and only Seabee to receive the Medal of Honor, was fatally wounded during the battle, where he saved numerous American lives.
