150610-N-VJ282-125 NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (June 10, 2015) – Sailors assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11 stand at attention while Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Marvin Shields’ Medal of Honor citation for is read. Shields, the first and only Seabee to receive the Medal of Honor, was fatally wounded during the 1965 Battle of Dong Xoai where he saved numerous American lives.
