U.S. Air Force pararescuemen fast rope from a U.S. Air Force HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter onto U.S. Navy drone launch ship ATLS 9701 during an insertion and extraction exercise June 7, seven miles off the coast of Camp Pendleton, Calif., as part of Angel Thunder 2015. The pararescuemen and helicopter are both assigned to the 129th Rescue Squadron out of Moffett Federal Airfield, Calif. Angel Thunder is a joint service, multinational, interagency combat search and rescue exercise designed to provide training for personnel recovery assets using a variety of scenarios that simulate deployment conditions and contingencies.
