BANGOR, Wash. (June 12, 2015) Sailors assigned to Trident Training Facility Bangor, prepare to retire unserviceable U.S. flags during a flag retirement ceremony at Naval Base Kitsap - Bangor. The traditional method is to cut the flag into pieces separating the 13 stripes from the canton and incinerating them separately in a respectful manner.
