Spc. Curtis Blackwell, of Ponca City, and a member of Company D, 179th Infantry Battalion, stacks dinner packed in insulated containers for delivery to troops in the field. The dinner was cooked in a Containerized Kitchen (CK), the U.S. Army’s newest mobile facility for preparing meals in the field. The cooks work long days in approximately 120-degree heat to get every Soldier fed. The 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma National Guard, of which Blackwell’s unit is a part, is undergoing annual training at Fort Sill, Okla., during May and June 2015. Blackwell, a gunner with Company D, was pulling the age-old duty of KP—kitchen patrol. (Photo by Spc. Carli Styles, 45th Field Artillery Brigade Public Affairs)
