Army Reserve soldiers from units across the Chicago land area conduct funeral military honors for Army Sgt. Lawrence V. Blanchet, WWII Veteran, who was killed in action on the Italian front in 1945. During the ceremony the Blanchet family received Blanchet’s Silver Star in a formal presentation as well as a U.S. flag.
