U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Patrick Wheeler, 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron C-21 aircraft maintenance superintendent, removes chalk blocks as a C-21 prepares for take-off, Aug. 28, in Southwest Asia. As a C-21 maintenance superintendent, Wheeler supports the C-21 mission of providing quick airlift capabilities for personnel and equipment throughout Southwest Asia. Wheeler is deployed from the Connecticut Air National Guard in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
