South Carolina National Guard Soldier Sgt. Trey Watford, a squad leader for Company B, 1-118th Infantry Battalion, pulls the pin and lets the spoon fly off a training grenade June 19, 2015, as part of his annual training at Fort Stewart, Ga. The infantrymen learned proper throwing techniques and practiced throwing the grenades at a number of different targets representing a variety of scenarios. The battalion spent nearly two weeks conducting training in a variety of squad and company level events as part of their annual training.
