U.S. Army Spc. Randall S. Wood, a native of Athens, Tenn., and a radio and communications security repairer, fires a rocket-propelled grenade while participating in Joint Task Force-East combined training Aug. 18 at a shooting range here. Wood is a Tennessee National Guardsman of the 1-181st Field Artillery Battalion out of Chattanooga, Tenn. Exercises at JTF-E hone in on U.S. and NATO partner nations' ability to deploy forces and operate in austere conditions away from home station.
