Seaman Joshua Guerreiro, a construction electrician constructionman assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, practices the basic wristlock technique from the Tan Belt syllabus during Tan Belt Marine Corps Martial Arts Program class instructed by Petty Officer 2nd Class Erik Kennerson, an engineering aid and a Green Belt MCMAP instructor. Marines, as well as Seabees, are offered the program that teaches combat martial arts techniques to service members. The battalion, homeported in Gulfport, Miss., under the operational control of the 30th Naval Construction Regiment is deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
