    Under supervision of Petty Officer 2nd Class Erik Kennerson, an engineering aid and a Green Belt Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructor, far left, Petty Officer 3rd Class Christopher Newman, an equipment operator assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, prepares to execute a leg sweep, which is a throw from the Tan Belt Syllabus during Tan Belt MCMAP. Marines, as well as Seabees, are offered the program that teaches combat martial arts techniques to service members. The battalion, homeported in Gulfport, Miss., under the operational control of the 30th Naval Construction Regiment is deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
