U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Jacob A. Hollings, a rifleman with Golf Company, Battalion Landing Team 2/6, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), dumps metal and glass garbage into a compactor during an Amphibious Ready Group/Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise (ARG/MEU-Ex) aboard the USS Kearsarge, June 23, 2015. The compactor compresses the metal and glass into rectangles to conserve space and ease of transport. The 26th MEU and Amphibious Squadron 4 are conducting an ARG/MEU-Ex in preparation for their deployment to the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility later this year.
