Adm. Robert Willard, commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, speaks to Sailors assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit 1. Willard presented the Meritorious Unit Commendation award to MDSU-1. The unit conducts salvage, underwater search and recovery and underwater emergency repairs. Willard also commended the command for their actions in saving an 11-year-old boy from a sinking car last Aug. 28.
