New York Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the the 1108th Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Company and an officer from the New York City Police Department EOD team examine X-rays of an improvised explosive device during the Raven's Challenge, EOD training exercise, on June 25, 2015, at the New York State Preparedness Training Center in Oriskany, N.Y. The 2015 Raven's Challenge in Oriskany brought together EOD units from the New York Army and Air National Guard, U.S. Army, police forces from across New York, and military and police forces from Canada. Over the course of the week long challenge the forces shared their unique specialties and knowledge, pooling resources to tackle multiple counter-IED exercises in a realistic training environment.
