Spc. Jared Davis, of Lake Oswego, Ore., patrols the streets of Mosul during a combat operation on November 14. Davis, a member of 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) from Fort Lewis, Wash., and his fellow Soldiers have been patrolling the streets of the northern Iraqi city in search of terrorists and foreign fighters at the request of Ninevah Province governor. Despite erroneous media reports that depict insurgents taking over Mosul, Multinational and Iraqi Security Forces have not moved out of the city and are in complete control of the city.
