Soldiers interact with children outside of a new school built in the city of Khalkalan in Kirkuk province, Iraq, during the schools opening ceremony, Sept. 14. The school was named in honor of Maj. Thomas Weiss, the former executive officer for 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, who was injured in a rollover accident.
