Soldiers speak with residents of the city of Khalkalan in Kirkuk province, Iraq, during a ceremony honoring the opening of a new school, Sept. 14. The school was named in honor of Maj. Thomas Weiss, the former executive officer for 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, who was injured in a rollover accident.
