U.S. Navy World War II veteran Seaman Raymond Shoviak, recalls watching the U.S. flag being raised on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima as he tours the WWII memorial in the National Mall in Washington, D.C., Sept. 16. Through the efforts of Honor Flight, WWII veterans are able to fly to their memorial by funds donated by individuals, organizations and corporations from across the country.
